Some important questions you may have
There are many pets out there that do not do well in a regular grooming environment/parlour or mobile. They are often refered to as “difficult to groom” or you might have heard a groomer say that the pet needs something to calm them or they need to be muzzled….
The environment of grooming parlours also does not always work for every pet. They get extremely anxious or affraid.
Your Fur-baby might even be very old, very young, blind, deaf, have a medical condition or have been injurred….
These all fall under the umbrella of “special needs” and we are here to help.
Barkley & Mewton does not do mobile grooming. We do not believe that the issues your Fur-baby might be experiencing can be resolved by doing Home/Mobile grooming.
Your pet has a safe space and sanctuary…this is where they feel safe and can be ralaxed and comfortable. If the stress of the grooming process and everything that accompanies it, is brought to their safe space, it violates that trust and sanctity of their home. They have nowhere left that serves this purpose. raising the anxiety and stress at home.
This is a frequent and loaded question. But we will try to answer as succinctly as possible.
The short answer is “it depends”

Many pet owners incorrectly think that professional pet grooming is just for shaving and styling. The importance of maintenance of the coat, nails, ears, and teeth are often overlooked. Sanitary cleaning and trimming keeps coodys at bay and the importance of a good professional brushing cannot be overstated.
